Energy is all around us, earth is made up of energy, plants, animal kingdom, and the human being. One area that many seem to forget about energy, is the crystal kingdom, even the pebble on the beach consists of energy and of course there is spirit energy also know as orbs. We have photographs of spirit energy.
We live in a word that is made up of negative and positive energies, most of which come from mans thoughts, for energy follows thought, as well as energy from wars. Where does this energy go to? it stays in the ether, building and growing on negativity that is growing fast.Before I go into more depth, I put up a thread in a MSN community and asked people ..
What do you know about energy?
Two people replied, whom I also know, have met up since creating the community, and amongst a group of us, have a connection with the other side of energy. I thought it was a good idea to ask the question to see how they really feel about energy or know about energy.
Heather.............. I first became aware of "energies" when I started to practice massage ... I was aware that my hands would feel cold/hot/tingling etc... during a massage and my clients would often comment on the heat from my hands and started to say that I had "healing hands" so I knew that I was giving off and picking up "something". From there I got into Reiki and my knowledge of energies expanded and I first became aware of the existence of negative or dark energy... it sounds a bit melodramatic and when I try to explain it to my clients I would say that most of us can recall a time when we have walked into a room and felt an "atmosphere" or sat on a bus next to someone and for no apparent reason felt uncomfortable ... what we are feeling or picking up on is the negative energy or vibes for want of a better expression. As I progressed and learned more from reading around the subject and especially from my "Garden" friends on our numerous get-togethers ... I learned that not all energy is beneficial ... in fact there are those who will actively use energy in a negative way for their own reasons (sometimes not even they are consciously aware of what they are doing).
At first my logical, sensible brain tried to deny the existence of negative/dark energy however experience has shown me that it is very real and should not be treated lightly. Having been on the receiving end of negative energy in the form of a hex or spell I can no longer deny it. The problem is that "spiritual" awareness in one form or another: tarot cards, wicca, witchcraft, crystals, all forms of energy healing from Reiki to Spiritual etc... has become the "in thing" and so many people are getting into it without really understanding the implications ~ they are what I call "professional dabblers" and they are in my view scary.
To give you an example of what I mean ... last week I went to the Black Country Museum for a family day out (excellent place highly recommend ... thanks Angelsardust for pointing us in this direction). I was delighted to stumble on a small wooden shed near the entrance to the coal mine that was selling rocks, fossils and crystals. The place was full of people and I was busy seeking out something unusual when I overheard some women saying that they loved the crystals but had no idea what they were for or what to do with them ... and then the shop assistant commented on the fact that she had a headache ... I couldn't help but say that I was not surprised working in a shop full of crystals all day with the energies they give off (I didn't mention the energies of the people who came in ) she looked at me as though I was crazy ... and said "do you really think so?" I said "I know so" ... and then I explained that I was a crystal healing practitioner etc.. one of the women at the counter then asked me what crystal she should buy ... I tried to explain how to go about choosing a crystal and that they have different metaphysical properties etc. by this time I had quite a crowd of people around me all listening ... I said that they needed to cleanse/wash their crystals when they got them home and after each use ... and beyond that I suggested that if they were interested in using crystals therapeutically they should go to the library and borrow a book on crystal healing before they start ... the woman that I had started out talking to said "oh I can't read a book, I can't be bothered". There is only so much information you can pass on in a situation like this and it made me uneasy to walk away in the knowledge that these people will buy their pretty crystals and have not the faintest idea about energies/cleansing/energising and ignorant of the fact that the crystal they have chosen will probably have been handled numerous times by other people who will all have left their "imprint" on it ... good, bad or indifferent.
I feel that people make light of negative/dark energy foolishly ... just because you don't sprout a hairy wart on the end of your nose doesn't mean that you are not affected by a hex/spell or negative/dark energy ... it can manifest itself in many different ways from just plain bad luck to physical ill health or even a disruption in your life such as arguments and disputes that break friendships/relationships or even a change in your character: finding that you are making spiteful comments or thinking ill of people when this is not normally your nature. I could go on ... and on ... and on ... but I have already droned on long enough ... the bottom line is that if you decide to "get into" any form of spiritual/metaphysical/healing etc then you MUST TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for your own PROTECTION and that means reading as much as you can about the subject of protection and energies (including hooks, cords, entities etc.) so that you can properly identify this "crap" if it happens and know how to deal with it before it takes over your life and wreaks havoc. <<<<<<2>>>>>>
