There are many decks on the market now, with more coming out all the time, so choose wisely and listen to your inner being/self. Sometimes you may just buy tarot cards because you are drawn to the colorful illustrations and may never use them, and you can do far worse than starting a Tarot Collection.

The Quest Tarot
The Quest Tarot comes with a 296 page book which also covers caring for your cards, spreads, and other ways of using the Quest Tarot. This tarot deck is visually stunning and detailed I have come across as a reading and one that also collects tarot! The vibrant artistry on each card having a lot of time and care being put into this beautiful deck- even the minor arcana cards are breathtaking. The artist has incorporated astrological, kabbalistic, runic, I Ching & gemstone, letters etc correspondences into the cards, so you will either connect with them or not. You can look much further into the pictures and feel deeper energies of the cards whether you use as a mediation tool or for readings

Thoth Tarot
The Thoth tarot deck is very well illustrated and is one of the best and deepest deck you will ever find, I have used it now for at least 8 years and every reading is quite deep. The cards have so much detail that you can never fail to get something out of each session you have with the cards. I do recommend these cards, although they may seem too deep for a beginner, if you can feel energies around you in life you will be able to feel the energies within these cards

Whimsical Tarot
The Whimsical Tarot looks at the tarot with a different approach or aspect, the cards are linked with childhood images and fairy tales, of course it’s a good idea if you can remember those times, but saying that, you are working and feeling the energies of the cards which allows you to connect with the “inner child” . The illustrations are straight forward and have a warmth about the cards. I would definitely say these are not the norm for tarot cards from what you may be use to like Morgan Greer and Rider Wait which most people have used to start tarot reading. The images are drawn from well known fairy tales.

Hanson Roberts Tarot
Hanson Roberts Tarot A stunning set with crisp and easy on the eye.. The artwork makes the tarot come alive, this tarot is similar to Rider Wait and if you have already got this deck this its not worth buying, but if you are a collector of Tarot for the art work, then buy it. The one thing that it is lacking is new symbolism. If these cards jump out at you, then buy them

The Universal Waite again are nice and vibrant in their design, they have a readiant feel to this tarot deck. There are some differences in the Universal Deck than the Original Wider Waite deck but you need to look very close at the finer details on some of the cards to see this, for example the death card on the original Wider Waite Deck is dark so you cannot see the people lying on the floor, although only a minor detail, the tarot is about looking at the art work and feeling what the tarot card is saying thru the symbolism.
